From: Everyday With Rachel Ray Magazine
This cute 80's look is perfect for adding a pop of bright color to any outfit.
You Need:
-Clear Base Coat
-Light Colored Nail Polish
-One to Three Other Polish Colors
-Clear Top Coat
-Vaseline
-Cup of Warm Water
-Toothpick
-Paper Towels (Just in case things get messy)
How To:
1. Apply a clear base coat and let it dry.
2. Apply a coat of light-colored nail polish and let it dry. (pinks, soft browns, white)
3. Cover fingertips and skin around nails with Vaseline.
4. Add a drop of several nail polishes in the same color family, like coral and mauve, to a cup of warm water, repeating until you have concentric circles.
5. Working from the outside, drag a toothpick through the circles to create a swirl.
6. With your nail face up and parallel to the water, dunk one finger into the cup.
7. Slowly remove your finger; use toothpick to get rid of excess polish around the nail. Let dry before wiping off the Vaseline. Seal with a clear top coat.
8. Repeat steps 3-6 on each nail.
